Cynthia L. Armistead
Cynthia has lived in the metro Atlanta area since 1977. She and her two cats live near Brookhaven.
She has been known online as TechnoMom since 1995, and blogs occasionally at her main site, Enemy of Entropy. She works from home as a computer geek, and has a background in technical writing and software quality assurance analyst. After she and her daughter were targeted by a cyberstalker in 1996, she learned a great deal about internet safety and started doing volunteer work to help other victims and stop online harassment. She was the executive vice president of  Working to Halt Online Abuse for several years, serving as the organization's webmaster before that and creating much of the content that is still on their web site. If she seems familiar for some reason, that may be because she appeared in televised and print media talking about internet safety issues, from WSB-TV to Oprah to CNN and the BBC. Cynthia is an avid reader who enjoys counted-thread needlework and singing. Some of her needlework designs can be seen (and downloaded) at Heartsong Handicrafts.
