You know what a great gift is for an animal rescuer? Cat litter. Dog biscuits. Old linens. A shared post. A re-tweet.
Do you know an animal rescuer? Chances are you do. Those crazy, wonderful souls who spend time and often risk health, job and security to rescue and rehab puppies, kittens and unwanted oldsters. Large-hearted introverts and, less often, extroverts, who give aid to the abused, the hopeless, the helpless animals that many of us walk by every day and don’t even notice. Or even if we do, we turn away, thinking, “I can’t do anything.” Oh yes you can. If you know an animal rescuer, you can do something. If you know an animal rescuer, buy them a meal one day. I guarantee they have gone without eating, or forgotten to get their own food in order to make sure a homeles animal had enough to eat. Or you can directly help them feed abandoned and …
