Decatur Makes Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta

Creativing Loafing put out its annual Best of Atanta issue last week and Decatur warranted numerous mentions in the staff picks. Here they are: Best street character. Larkin Taylor-Parker, a student at Agnes Scott College student who enjoys playing her tuba in the street while wearing top hat and tux. Best reinvention of reading series. The Write Club, held the second Wedesday of each month at the Red Room at 627 E. College Ave. Best local poet. Her name is Nathasha Trethewey and she's the U.S. Poet Laureate.
