He's working on his movie, "Single Moms Club."
A large film crew descended on Agnes Scott College on Thursday as filmmaker Tyler Perry shot scenes for his movie "Single Moms Club." Perry directed scenes in Presser Hall. Students strolled past wardrobe racks and equipment carts as they made their way to classes. He's also obtained permits to shoot at the Fidelity Bank building in Decatur on Dec. 16 and 17, said Katie Abel at Decatur City Hall. Perry filmed scenes last week at the Waffle House in Avondale Estates, a house on Lake Avondale and the Allen Wilson Apartments in Decatur. Tyler Perry and a film crew set up shop Wednesday at a house overlooking Lake Avondale. He's directing scenes for "Single Moms Club" at a house at 70 Lakeshore Drive in Avondale Estates. Trucks lined Lakeshore Drive and the nearby Avondale Community Club was used for catering. Perry shot Monday at the Waffle House in Avondale Estates and on Tuesday at Allen Wilson Apartments in Decatur. He has permits to shoot through Dec. in Avondale Estates. The movie maker is shooting "Single Moms Club" at the Allen Wilson Apartments.
Filmmaker Tyler Perry was shooting scenes Tuesday for his new movie, "Single Moms Club," at the Allen Wilson Apartments in Decatur. Trucks and trailers lined Electric Avenue near the Community Resource Center and a catering station had been set up in the parking lot behind nearby Lilly Hill Baptist Church. Perry has a city permit to shoot on Wednesday, too. On Monday, Perry directed scenes at the Waffle House on East College Avenue in Avondale Estates. He has a permit to shoot for 10 days there. Movie mogul Tyler Perry will be directing a new film titled "Single Mom's Club" in Avondale Estates from Monday, Nov. 26, to Wednesday, Dec. 5, according to information sent out by the City of Avondale Estates. The movie will star Perry, Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Zulay Henao and William Levy. The city told residents to expect some disruptions. The Waffle House restaurant, located at 2850 E. College Avenue, will be closed on November 26th from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. for filming. In addition, the two (2) westbound lanes of E. Decatur landmark Agnes Scott College has been in show business for more than half of a century. The school appeared first on the big screen in 1955 when "A Man Called Peter" -- a film about preacher Peter Marshall -- was shot on campus.
