Like a politician at election time, Vladimir Onysko hugs ladies, shakes hands and kisses babies at his popular restaurant, Mezcalito’s Cantina in Oakhurst. This Ukrainian native has owned and operated this Mexican hotspot for nearly five years, and has no plans to leave this prime location on East Lake Drive anytime soon. “We’re doing great and love being here in Oakhurst,” Onysko said. “It really works for us, being a part of this community.” And, it works for his diners, too.
