Garbage Pickup Changes for MLK Day
No garbage pickup on Monday, Jan. 21. Decatur and Avondale Estates city halls are closed that day, along with DeKalb County government offices.
Garbage won't be picked up on MLK Day--Monday, Jan. 21--in Decatur and Avondale Estates. City halls, DeKalb County government offices and public and private schools won't be open either. Here's the schedule for garbage pickup. Decatur Pickup scheduled for Monday, Jan. 21, will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Pickup scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 22, will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Avondale Estates Pickup scheduled for Monday, Jan. 21, will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 22. DeKalb County No collection services on Monday, Jan. 21. All collection services will run one day late. Regular garbage collection schedule will resume on Thursday, Jan. 24. Blue box and yard waste recycling will continue to run one day late through Friday, Jan. 25.
