Apparently the forecasters are predicting rain tomorrow. We will have a market anyway. Here are the vendors we expect to be there. This could change of course. King of Pops will not be at market tomorrow. La Calavera Bakery will be returning with their Croissants, raw truffles, sprouted bread, sourdough, brioche and more made with organic ingredients. Patrons of the Decatur Farmers Market are urged to find a friend who doesn't regularly shop there.
Georgia Organics has announced a program called "My Market Club" that is being launched at Atlanta area farmers Market. It will debut Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Decatur Farmers Market with "Bring-A-Friend to the Market Day." Danielle Moore of Georgia Organics explained the My Market Club program: It is designed to encourage people who have never been to a farmers market to give it a try. By committing to regularly shopping at their local farmers markets, people can support local farmers and the local economy. All season long, participants will not only get free incentives for the first three times they come, but they will also have the chance to connect with their community and their food in a more meaningful way.
