'Jobs Bus' in Decatur Monday

Looking for work? The DeKalb County's Mobile Career Center will visit the Decatur Housing Authority.

  Decatur and Avondale Estates residents looking for work can visit the DeKalb County's Mobile Career Center, or “jobs bus,” on Monday, July 30. The bus comes to the Decatur Housing Authority at 481 Electric Ave. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Major features of the resource center include 13 computer stations; a private interview area; high-speed satellite Internet connection; printer, scanner and copy services; and a fully accessible ADA workstation with movable table and auxiliary.  The mobile unit will also provide residents with essential services including job search assistance, adult workshops and training, resume writing and interviewing tips.

The bus comes to the Department of Family and Children Services at 178 Sams St. in Decatur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Major features of the resource center include 13 computer stations; a private interview area; high-speed satellite Internet connection; printer, scanner and copy services; and a fully accessible ADA workstation with movable table and auxiliary.  The mobile unit will also provide residents with essential services including job search assistance, adult workshops and training, resume writing and interviewing tips.

Avondale Estates and Decatur residents looking for work can visit the DeKalb County's Mobile Career Center, or “jobs bus,” this week. The bus comes to the Covington Library at 3500 Covington Highway from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10.
