Update: Beer Festival Tickets Sold Out

Tickets for the Decatur Wine Festival are also available.

Update: Katie Abel of the City of Decatur says tickets to the Decatur Craft Beer Festival sold out in about 30 minutes. The earlier story. Tickets for the Decatur Craft Beer Festival go on sale at noon Monday, Sept. 17. You can only buy tickets at Ticket Alternative and they go very fast. They cost $40 each and include a commemorative glass. The beer festival will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, on the Decatur Square. Tickets for the Decatur Wine Festival are now on sale at Ticket Alternative. Tickets are $35. The wine festival will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 on the Square. Photo Gallery: Decatur Wine Fest

The 10th annual event raised money for the Decatur Arts Alliance.

Wine-lovers sipped a variety of wines and enjoyed samples from area restaurants at the sold-out 2011 Decatur Wine Festival. More than 2,000 people were expected at the event, which calls itself "metro Atlanta's largest outdoor wine festival." Money raised by the festival benefits the Decatur Arts Alliance, which produces the Decatur Arts Festival as well as many other free community arts events.  More than 500 domestic and international wines were poured at the festival, which is in its 10th year. Many local restaurants offered samples and music was provided by The Shadowboxers and the Gwen Hughes Band.

Update: Decatur Wine Festival Sells Out

Tenth Annual Decatur Wine Festival will be held Saturday.

UPDATE: The wine festival website reported Friday afternoon that the event is a sellout. Below is a story posted earlier in today, based on information provided Thursday afternoon: The 10th Annual Decatur Wine Festival will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at the Decatur Square next to the old DeKalb County Courthouse. The festival will feature more than 350 wines from around the world, including organic and sustainably produced wines. Food will be provided by some of Decatur's best restaurants and music will be performed by The Shadowboxers and the Gwen Hughes Band. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Ticket Alternative.
