The good times flowed at the Craft Beer and Root Beer festivals.
About 4,000 people poured into the Decatur Court Square Saturday afternoon for the Decatur Craft Beer Festival. Armed with souvenir glasses bearing the festival logo, the festival-goers had about 100 beers to sample. The $40-per-person tickets were sold online and were snapped up very quickly. Meanwhile, the very first Decatur Root Beer Festival was held at the Little Shop of Stories. For $5, kids and adults got to sample about a dozen root beers and sodas. Proceeds will go toward the On The Same Page citywide reading project.
