Copper Piping Stolen In Avondale

Police investigate theft of van.

This information comes from Avondale Estates police reports. About $1,000 in copper piping was stolen from a house on Nottingham Drive. Police said the piping was cut from the crawlspace underneath the house. The resident said the piping was stolen between Feb. 24 and March 24.   A 2006 Ford Econoline van was reported stolen March 23 from Globe Chemical Company at 2833 Washington St. The owner estimated the van was worth $18,000. The theft occurred between 4 and 6:30 p.m.   Two metal Alma Fuller Real Estate signs were reported stolen March 18 from a house in the 1600 block of Clarendon Place. The signs were valued at $150.
