Sweet natured and even tempered, Ava is a dog who quietly enriches lives but needs a home
Historian Edmund Fuller once told the story of a wholly reluctant Thomas Edison at a high society social function in New York, an event his wife had persuaded him to attend. The inventor finally escaped the crowd of people vying for his attention and sat alone in a corner with a resigned expression on his face. A friend edged near to him and heard Edison mutter to himself with a sigh, "If there were only a dog here!" No doubt the famous inventor was wishing for the relaxed, faithful, non-judgmental company of a good, solid, canine friend that evening. And if he was, he was perhaps wishing for a dog just like Ava.
