Tyler Perry Filming Scenes in Decatur Public Housing
The movie maker is shooting "Single Moms Club" at the Allen Wilson Apartments.
Filmmaker Tyler Perry was shooting scenes Tuesday for his new movie, "Single Moms Club," at the Allen Wilson Apartments in Decatur. Trucks and trailers lined Electric Avenue near the Community Resource Center and a catering station had been set up in the parking lot behind nearby Lilly Hill Baptist Church. Perry has a city permit to shoot on Wednesday, too. On Monday, Perry directed scenes at the Waffle House on East College Avenue in Avondale Estates. He has a permit to shoot for 10 days there. Imogene Mosley, a resident of Allen Wilson Apartments, said Tuesday she was happy to see the activity. "I love it," she said. "It's good for the community."
