It amazes me that people fall for this trick. Pretend you're a retail store and you know everyoneRead More will be coming to buy clothes, computers, etc. on very particular days. Will you be offering your lowest prices those days?

Now that the leftwing trolls have shown up on here, no doubt given their marching orders by MSNBC,Read More this thread has disintegrated. Same nonsense, throw out accusations of racism, hope they stick. Accuse their opponents of being unchristian, meanwhile oppose religious freedom decision on Obamacare. And pretend they are the compassionate ones who care about the children, all the while eagerly supporting lawlessness and the destruction of this nation.
Good Grief Y'all July 21, 2014 at 08:28 pm
Now what was that y'all were saying about the 2002 & 2008 GWB signed law stating that the USRead More would not send unaccompanied minors back across the border without due process? Anyone? amark? johnnie? No one has addressed this from the right wing side? Don't think so. Unbelievable!

These children are not being separated from their home and families seeking greener pastures. TheyRead More are escaping tyranny that threatens to rape, torture, kidnap and murder them. And would I do anything I could to save the children, you bet I would. The USA is a country of immigrants, we are also a nation with so called CHRISTIAN values which includes having mercy and compassion for the oppressed. I am glad that The Southern Baptist Convention and CATHOLIC CHARITIES are in the lead of the battle to house and protect children.

No, we don't have enough laws for the nanny state to control us. Nor do we have enough laws to holdRead More people responsible for criminal negligence. Yes, we need another stupid law for the nanny state to control us, because we are too liberal to control ourselves.

Firearm 134... State leaders say they will delay implementing the Georgia drug-testing law while a similar measure in Florida is sorted out in federal court. File|Patch
Nick M July 4, 2014 at 10:44 am
Mack, it's a waster of taxpayers money. Some facts about Florida where the law was passed and thenRead More stuck down: A U.S. judge has struck down a Florida law requiring drug screening for welfare recipients, saying that it violated the constitutional protection against unreasonable searches. The testing fee of $25 to $45 was to be repaid by the state if the test came back negative, but applicants who tested positive would have been barred from receiving benefits for a year. Judge Mary Scriven permanently halted enforcement of the law in her ruling. She agreed with an earlier court finding that "there is nothing inherent in the condition of being impoverished that supports the conclusion that there is a concrete danger that impoverished individuals are prone to drug use ..." During the time the law was in effect, about 2.6 percent of recipients tested positive for illegal drugs, mostly for marijuana, according to the court documents. The failure rate was well below that of the general population. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services found in a 2009 survey that about, 8.7 percent, of the population aged 12 or older had used illicit drugs in the previous month. Generally, the courts have allowed suspicionless drug testing only when public safety is at risk, such as for armed officers or railroad workers who operate heavy equipment. http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/welfare.asp

I have often wondered what liability a store owner would have if a criminal shot and killed someoneRead More in their store. If by Targets request I didn't carry my gun into their store and I was shot and killed because I was unable to defend myself...how does Target proved that they were properly looking after my best welfare?? My bleeding corpse would make one wonder if Target did all they could to keep their customers safe. Would they have to prove it? OR....do the criminals have more rights than I do? I would think that a certain portion of my death would have to be their fault if they didn't take steps to keep ALL guns out of the store?? Thoughts?
Phil Evans July 5, 2014 at 01:47 pm
I believe Target is riding the fence to try and appease Bloomberg's Moms Demand Action as well asRead More trying not to make gun owners mad enough to not shop there. They do not yet have a hard policy of prohibiting guns. They are merely "asking" that we don't carry there. At least one person I know of has openly carried his pistol in a Target store since this announcement, with no issues. I say carry on as if they've not made the request, to show the public what this really is about - politics and not safety. All they can do is ask you to leave, and if they do, publicize it to help others avoid their stores.

Who said anything about a woman? You are obviously trying to start crap lol. Nice try though.Read More Newsflash - we have male teachers and male nurses in 2014... back to what you said about an armed citizen not being able to pull the trigger - my thoughts exactly. A kid is shooting up the school and an armed citizen just might not be able to look at the child and shoot them. Our society doesnt look at children as target practice, so when presented with a child with a gun, I dont buy that the average citizen would shoot a child. So what I get from this back and forth is that you folks have opinions that go back and forth however you like to make a point and then you also like to start crap either that or you cant read. Teachers who cant read.... interesting.

@ AP hahaha! Also, seems if the Chief of Police states that there was less crime when citizens wereRead More armed, that it would hold just a little water, don't you think? Reagan's peace through strength had a purpose. If we strengthen our military, our enemies will think twice before attacking us. Cut the military, and boom! We're usually attacked in some way within 6 months. Look what happened under Clinton after the military was gutted. Peace through strength is not a tangible thing - but being an ideal, can apply anywhere. That's why some don't get it- it goes deeper than the surface. It does translate to areas where more people are armed. Criminal think twice before going where they aren't sure if the person they are robbing might be armed. Statistics have shown that. .....................um.....I thought maybe woody was ts, until that last comment from David. Almost word for word...
