"I originally started this 8 years ago because I wanted a hands-on, kid-friendly event," shop owner Chef Layne Lee said, adding it's her favorite yearly event.
"I got so used to doing all of these kids birthday parties and they always seemed fascinated with what it is that goes on in the back of the bakery so I thought it would be fun to bring them back where we make our magic and let them make a little magic of their own.
"Some of the kids have been coming so long that now they've graduated to being my little "Cookie elves" and they help the younger ones decorate."
Here is the information:
The cost of the cookie party is: $12 for the first child; $10 for the second child, and $8 for additional children. The family maximum is $30.
Kids are asked to bring an apron or a t-shirt or something they can get dirty, because they can and will get messy.
Adults, come hungry, too, as there will be coffee, tea and adult beverages and munchies.
