Sally Wylde Award Nominations Sought

The award is named after the "founding mother" of the Oakhurst Community Garden Project.

The Oakhurst Community Garden Project and the City of Decatur are accepting nominations through April 10 for the Sally Wylde Cultivating Life Award.

As the garden webpage says, the annual award goes to

an individual or organization in Decatur making an extraordinary contribution to our community and its natural environment. This award is presented to those who demonstrate qualities held dear and embodied by Sally Wylde, an artist, environmentalist, activist, and educator whose work and life have inspired people of all ages to become better caretakers of the earth, of one another, and of themselves.
