Decatur Rotary Club Seeking Applicants For $10,000 in Grants

The deadline is March 23 to submit an application.

The Decatur Rotary Club does a lot of good things for the community.

One of them is donating money for community projects that focus on literacy and at-risk youth. This year they have $10,000 to give away, with a March 23 deadline for applications.

According to the club website, the project must meet the following requirements:

  • The program must focus on literacy and/or at-risk youth.
  • The grant needs to be used for a specific program, not for general operating funds.
  • The program needs to be based in DeKalb County and serve DeKalb County residents.
  • The Decatur Rotary Club is seeking a project that will impact our community at large; specifically in DeKalb County.
  • The grant money would need to be used between June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013.
  • The agency needs to be a 501(C)(3).

Applications can be found on the club website, www.decatur-rotary.org. Applicants must also submit an organizational budget, a sub-budget for the project or program and a copy of a 501 (c) (3) letter.
