The Fugees Need Bicycles--Soon!

Fred Boykin of Bicycle South is collecting used bikes for the refugee children who travel from Clarkston to Agnes Scott College for summer camp.

The Fugees, the nickname for the refugee children who live in Clarkston, need bicycles.

The kids ride to Agnes Scott College in Decatur for summer camp but they are short on bicycles.

Fred Boykin, owner of Bicycle South as well as a Decatur City Commissioner, is asking folks to donate bicycles.

He says the bikes are needed quickly because the camp starts June 17. It ends July 19.

Needed are bikes for teenagers and above, meaning bikes with 26-inch wheels or larger.

Don't worry if the bike is old or broken down. Bicycle South will repair it or use the parts.

You can bring the bikes by the shop at North Decatur Road and Clairmont Road. For more information about Bicycle South, call 404-636-4444 or visit the store website.Β
