Too lazy to read the Declaration of Independence? You can hear it read aloud on the DeKalb Courthouse steps.

Good morning, Decatur and Avondale Estates. Here are five things to know about today.

1. Finally. The temperature is expected to plummet to 92 degrees today, says weather.com. Expect isolated thundershowers and a 30 percent chance of rain.

2. I declare. In honor of Independence Day,, starting around 10 a.m., on the steps of the new DeKalb County Courthouse.

Ken Scott, a local magician, performs at 7 p.m. at at the Decatur Library. The show is free and lasts about 45 minutes.

4. . The renovated Decatur Fire Station No. 1 will be open for public tours from 9 a.m. to noon.
