5k for Hope to End Homelessness

The South DeKalb Striders running club will host its annual 5k for Hope road race. Runners of all ages and levels will gather at Georgia Perimeter College and run a 3.1 mile, tree-lined route through Decatur. Proceeds from the race will go to Our House, Inc., a 24-year old Decatur-based 501(c)3 serving homeless children and families from throughout Metro Atlanta.

Registration is $22 w/t-shirt, $17 without (before Aug. 4th). After Aug. 4th, registration will be $25 and $20, respectively. Race day check-in and registration begins at 6:30 a.m.  Starting gun for the race goes off at 8:00 a.m.

ABOUT OUR HOUSE:  Our House, Inc. is a nationally-accredited early childhood education center that provides childcare to children and comprehensive support services to families who are homeless. Over the past six years alone, Our House has provided a quality early education to approximately1,350 children. Last year, Our House helped 77% of parents served move into more stable housing, with 37% achieving their dream of obtaining a permanent home.
