Today Is Last Chance To Vote Early

On the ballot for Nov. 8: Sunday sales, school sales tax referendum, one Decatur School Board seat, Avondale Estates mayorship and two Avondale commission seats.

Today is the last day for early voting in the Tuesday, Nov. 8, elections.

To vote early, a registered voter has to go in person to the at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300 in Decatur, 30032.

The hours to vote are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Voters in Decatur and Avondale Estates will be voting in two referendums: and .

In Decatur, voters will be electing a new city school board member. or will replace , who currently represents District 1, Post B. He is not seeking re-election.

All the other Decatur candidates are uncontested.

: Bill Floyd, who is the city commission member for District 1, Post B, as well as the mayor; Kecia Cunningham, the commission member for District 2, Post B; Jim Baskett, the at-large commission member; and Julie P. Rhame, the school member for District 2, Post B.

In Avondale Estates, voters will vote for mayor and two city commission seats.

Candidates for mayor are , a one-term city commissioner and the mayor pro tem, and , the one-term incumbent.

The commission candidates are . Incumbent City Commissioner Michael Payne is not seeing re-election and Milliron is running for mayor.
