Get Out: Run With The Dogs, Get Organized, Model Trains and Winter Wonderland
Don't sit on your duff at home! Here are some fun things to do this weekend.
When/where: 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Decatur High School, 310 N. McDonough St., Decatur. Race-day registration starts at 8 a.m.
Why go: This is a 5K walk/run through the streets of Decatur. Proceeds go to the Decatur Bulldog Athletic Booster Club. Runner are encouraged to bring their dogs. T-shirts, awards and treats will be available to participants as well as a sporty "race"-kerchief for canine companions. First-place male and female winners will each get a pair of Mizuno running shoes.

Why go: Enjoy the last days of Fernbank’s second annual Winter Wonderland: Celebrations & Traditions Around the World. This holiday-inspired exhibition and programming series features trees and other displays decorated by local cultural partners that recognize celebrations including Christmas, Hanukkah and the Festival of Lights.
Pricing: Admission is $17.50 for adults, $16.50 for seniors and $15.50 for kids 3-12. Admission to Winter Wonderland is included with museum admission and is free for members.

Why go: Saturday will be your last chance to see the model trains running through the holiday landscape created at the botanical garden.
