First Day at The Museum School

The charter school has moved into the old Forrest Hills Elementary.

The Museum School of Avondale Estates began a new school year Monday in a new building.

The charter school moved into the old Forrest Hills Elementary after operating several years in modular classrooms at an Avondale Estates church.

This year, the facility will house 264 Museum School students in 13 classrooms in grades K-5. It includes dedicated art and music rooms as well as a fantastic media center, a student project workshop and a gallery for exhibits.

We are very excited about the new year in our like-new facility. Additional renovations will follow during the next four years, allowing us to expand to middle school and teach 516 students in grades K-8 by the 2016-2017 year.
