Incr-EDIBLE Container Gardening – Includes Plants!

Join Master Gardener, Mary Hines, at the Oakhurst  Garden and learn how to grow herbs and vegetables in containers. Don’t let limited space keep you from enjoying your own homegrown edibles!  We will cover choosing the best containers and soil mixtures; selecting ideal vegetables, herbs and flowers for container growing; making visually stunning arrangements; and the basics of proper light, water, fertilizer, and pest control with an emphasis on organic methods. All students will take home a planted container. Bring the container of your choice (3 to 5 gallons; about 12" wide and deep), and we'll provide soil mix and plants from our veggie sale. 5 person minimum. Advanced registration required
