Beginners Sewing for Adults: Making a Tote

This is a four week class !

In this class you will learn the ins and outs of your machine, including threading, operation, accessories, and troubleshooting.The class will provide an introduction to tools, notions, strait and curved stitching, seams, various techniques, fabric types, basic fabric terminology, and buttonholes. You will also learn how to read and assemble patterns. As part of this class, we will be applying the skills learned in making a tote bag from recycled FedEx bags or old clothing and more. * Will skip a week if needed for spring break. * We have some loaner machines if needed, but class requires you to bring your own machine.
