The DHS Conservative Club finished the year right (no pun intended, well maybe a little) by hosting an end-of-the-year pizza party after school on the DHS flagpole plaza.

Students were asked to make a donation for a slice of delicious CiCi's pizza and a drink but there was no charge.  The club raised $78.  The final CC donation to the Decatur Education Foundation, in loving memory of DuJuan Parker, Madison Lewis, and Ellen Nettles, is over $200.

What a great way to end the year. Congratulations DHS Conservatives! The DHS CC would like to thank the four Decatur area homeowners who donated money to our "Bloomin' Decatur" cleanup and North DeKalb CiCi's Pizza.  We would also like to thank Ms. Reimer for helping with today's event.

Congratulations to the graduating CC seniors- Rich Reimer, Davis Bryd, MarKeith Conley, Sam Weitnauer, Jacob Fortenberry, and Sam Lee.   Always remember what Ronald Reagan said, "You and I have a rendezvous with destiny."  I believe that and hope you learn the meaning behind that famous quote.

Editor's note: Chris Billingsley has retired from Decatur High. He delivered the commencement address Friday night.
