Close or Save Avondale High and Middle?

Residents, parents, students and alumni came together last Friday to talk about solutions to the DeKalb County School's proposal to close Avondale High and Middle schools

Should Avondale High School and Middle schools close? Or are they worth saving?

Parents, students, residents and alumni came together to discuss the fate of these two DeKalb County schools last Friday during a at Avondale High School called by Avondale Estates Mayor Pro Tem David Milliron with school board members Donna Edler and Sarah Copelin-Wood.

The DeKalb County school board plans to hold additional hearings to discuss theΒ redistrictingΒ and school closures. Those hearings will be on March 1 and 3 at the system's administrative complex off Mountain Industrial Boulevard in Stone Mountain.
