City Schools of Decatur Makes Statement on Weather

School system says it's monitoring weather conditions.

On Monday, City Schools of Decatur announced that due to the impending winter storm, Tuesday's regular board meeting has been rescheduled to Friday, Feb. 14, at 8 a.m.

Also from CSD:

City Schools of Decatur will be closed Tuesday, February 11, due to the impending, rapidly changing and unpredictable winter weather event. The Governor has declared a State of Emergency for the Atlanta-metro area. We will assess the weather and road conditions again for Wednesday and Thursday, and let families and staff know if school is canceled through robo-calls, the CSD Facebook page and the CSD website.

The Superintendent and staff are discussing options to address the make up of additional school days lost due to inclement weather. The Board of Education will be asked to approve any option prior to sharing this information with parents.
