You probably pass this empty storefront at 2095 North Decatur Road whenever you shop at Publix at Emory Commons Shopping Center.

The store is on the corner of this shopping center at Clairemont Avenue and North Decatur Road. Blue Elephant book store used to operate here, before it moved to downtown Decatur for a brief period.

What kind of business or enterprise would you like to see move into this space? What does that neighborhood need? Leave your answer in the comments box below.

It is my understanding that the space has already been leased by a bank.

I think this space was a bookstore before Chapter 11 too, maybe Wordsmith or Wordsworth which then moved across the street to where the Mattress Store is now? Sure would love another bookstore! But it's got to be an interesting business model for a bookstore to survive these days.

It would be great if you could convince Nardin Drug Company to move back into that location. It had a great soda fountain.
