The DeKalb Vacant Property Registry aims to protect neighborhoods from blight.

Improperly maintained and unsecured vacant properties can become a hazard to the health and safety to the general public and can negatively affect the aesthetic and economic attributes of communities.

Difficulties often arise in locating the person responsible for maintenance of vacant properties. The DeKalb Vacant Property Registry will be utilized as a tool to comprehensively address these concerns.

The DeKalb County Code Compliance Code Compliance Division enforces codes/ordinances related to property maintenance, zoning, planning, special land use, signs and permits in a fair, transparent, timely and consistent manner.
