Gimme A Beer And A Budget!

Decatur residents can come to the Brick Store Pub to discuss the city budget process.

This is a new way of feeling the public pulse.

Decatur city officials are inviting residents to the from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 14 to talk with Andrea Arnold, an assistant city manager, about the city's budgeting process.

This is a change. Normally, the city hears the voice of the people in legally required public hearings at city hall. The setting is formal, the atmosphere sleep inducing, the refreshments nonexistent.
