Drenner Joins Public Safety Commission

Nine-member association monitors legislative issues.

State Rep. Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) has been appointed to the Georgia Public Safety Commission.

She was first elected to represent District 86 in 2000 and serves on the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Health & Human Services, Natural Resources & Environment and Rules committees. She also serves on the Special Committee on Small Business Development and Job Creation.

The Georgia Public Safety Commission is composed of nine members. Each member of the Commission is a resident to the state of Georgia, and may only serve up to two consecutive five-year terms.

The Georgia Public Safety Commission is a non-partisan professional association that monitors legislative issues that impact the community.  It is not an investigative agency.

The Commission was founded on the belief that a close relationship between public safety departments and the communities they serve is an essential part of a responsive and proactive government.
