DeKalb History Center Holding Silent Auction March 23

The auction will be held during the History Center's annual meeting.

will hold a silent auction from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, during its annual meeting at the Historic DeKalb County Courthouse.

The emcee is a local actor and producer, Widdi Turner. Local restaurants will provide food and beverages.

Melissa Forgey of the history center said the auction prizes include Braves tickets, concert tickets,  dinners, jewelry, hotel stays, research on your historic house, children’s activities, art, photography packages, an oral history project, fitness opportunities, spa and salon services and two seven-night stays at the Sandals Riveria Villa Suites at Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The history center is still accepting prizes, too, Forgey said.

The fundraiser is free and open to the public. Donations are expected to help fundraise for the organization.
