Decatur Methodist Hosting Election Day Communion

The community is invited to take communion after the polls close Nov. 6.

Decatur First United Methodist Church

Some Decatur churches hope to bring people together on Election Day after the polls close. This information was posted on the Decatur First United Methodist website.

Tuesday, November 6 7:30 - 8:15 p.m. we will have an Election Day Communion at Decatur First United Methodist Church at 300 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, Georgia. We will exercise our right to choose. We will make different choices for different reasons, hoping for different results. That evening, while our nation turns its attention to the outcome of the presidential election, let's again choose differently. But this time, let's do it together. Let's meet at the same table, with the same Host, as citizens of the kingdom of God. Please join us.

Host congregants include All Souls Fellowship, First Baptist of Decatur, First Christian Church, Decatur Presbyterian, Holy Trinity Parish and Messiah Lutheran Church.
