Decatur Focus: Lost in the Mail?

Online version of the city magazine is available on Decatur's website.

The print version of the Decatur Focus, the info-packed magazine the city mails out monthly, is missing in action.

Linda Harris, assistant director in the Department of Community Development, said as of last night, very few people inside the city limits had received their copy.

The printers sent about 9,000 copies of the Focus to the post office Sept. 8. Normally it just takes a few days for the Focus to be delivered.

Harris said the city is asking the post office to explain what's going on. Patch will also call the post office and seek an explanation.

Some people outside the city limits have received their copy in the mail, she said.

It's a bit of a problem, since some stories are already out of date, like the call for nominations for Hometown Heroes. The deadline was Sept. 15.

If you need a Focus fix right away, it can be read online at the City of Decatur website, along with all the back issues.
