Decatur Expands Sidewalk Improvements

City commission approves almost $40,000 in additional expenditures

The Decatur City Commission has approved spending almost $40,000 to bring 17 school crossings and intersections into compliance with federal recommendations.

The vote came during Monday night’s regular meeting at Decatur City Hall.

The expenditure is part of a contract the city has with Ohmshiv Construction to repair and install sidewalks as part of an overall sidewalk improvement program.
