Decatur Commission Agenda: Pool Contract, Liquor LIcense For Marriott Courtyard

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in city hall.

The Decatur City Commission is scheduled to vote Tuesday night on a pool contract with Dynamo Pool Services that would be $15,850 larger than last year's contract.

The city administration says the contract needs to be bigger because more people are using the three city-owned pools -- 43,747 patrons in 2010 compared to 54,173 in 2011.

Extra lifeguards are recommended for hours of peak usage and Dynamo calculates 450 more lifeguard hours will be worked.
