Decatur Candidate Forum Sunday

The two people running for a school board seat will take questions at the Church at Decatur Heights.

A forum and meet and greet for in District 1 will be held 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at , 735 Sycamore Drive.

Candidates Peg Bumgardner and Garrett Goebel will take questions from moderator Geoff Koski, government and politics teacher at Decatur High.

People in the audience can follow up with the candidates afterward at the meet and greet.

The Church at Decatur Heights and the Decatur Heights Neighborhood Association are organizing the event. The public is invited.

The election is Nov. 8. Bumgardner and Goebel are running for the seat now held by John Ahmann, who is not seeking re-election. All the other races in Decatur are uncontested.
