Most local government offices are closed Thanksgiving and Friday, as well as the weekend.
Here are the Thanksgiving closings for city governments and public schools in Decatur and Avondale Estates.
City of Decatur
- City hall closed Thanksgiving day and Friday, Nov. 23. Reopens Monday, Nov. 26.
- Garbage pickup: Regular service for Thursday and Friday will be on Wednesday.
- Police, fire and emergency services on duty through the holiday.
Avondale Estates
