DeKalb County residents will soon see a new small business loan program and a program targeted at potential and existing homeowners.

DeKalb County is touting its new economic development program, a five-year, $6.3 million deal with the Development Authority of DeKalb County signed Thursday.

Authority Chair Vaughn Irons says county residents will soon see a new small business loan program and a program targeted at potential and existing homeowners, reports WABE radio.

Β β€œIf you have a job in DeKalb County, and you purchase a home or you want to refinance your home, the development authority will have a new program that will provide 3 or 5 percent in down payment gifts in order to assist people in staying in the county and keeping their wealth that they earn in the county,” Irons said.
