DeKalb County Board of Education

• When/where: Tuesday, July 10, 6-8:30 p.m. at Westwood College, 2309 Parklake Drive, NE, Atlanta, GA 30345. Meet candidates for DeKalb County Board of Education in Districts 2, 4, 6 and 8.

• Details: Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Maureen Downey, author of the daily blog, "Get Schooled," will host the forum. Invitation issued by the DeKalb Chamber, Leadership DeKalb, eduKALB, PRISM, Junior League, and Greater Lithonia Chamber for this candidate forum.

DeKalb County CEO and County Commission

• When/where: Thursday, July 12, 7-9 p.m. at Georgia Piedmont Technical College Conference Center at 495 North Indian Creek Road, Clarkston, GA 30021.

• Details: Forum and meet-and-greet for candidates for DeKalb County CEO and DeKalb County Board of Commissioners in Districts 1, 4, 5 and 6. The DeKalb Chamber, Leadership DeKalb, Junior League of DeKalb County, League of Women voters of DeKalb County, PRISM, The Champion Newspaper and others are partnering to hold this forum.

Georgia Public Service Commission

• When/where: Thursday, July 12, 7-9 p.m. at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church at 1660 N Decatur Rd NE; Atlanta, GA 30307.

• Details: Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) is hosting a forum to introduce voters to the 2012 candidates for the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC). This forum is co-hosted by 14 local organizations and will be streamed live online for viewers around the state.
