The Decatur city staff has posted information on the city website about possible bicycle, pedestrian and safety improvements in the Commerce-Clairemont-Church area.
This information was presented in printout form last Monday at a transportation workshop but was not immediately posted online.
Included are sketches showing a possible traffic circle on Church Street, the placement of bike lanes and sidewalk improvements and a questionnaire for citizens to tell the city what they think of these ideas.
The city is urging residents to fill out the questionaires.
The city is applying for grants for the project, . The city will be responsible for about $475,000. Deputy City Manager Hugh Saxon has said actual construction is years away if funding comes through.
The proposed changes are part of the community transportation plan.
