Avondale Estates Seeks Opinions in Online Survey

The purpose of the Lifelong Communities survey is to help Avondale Estates prepare for an older population by determining the community's needs and priorities.

The City of Avondale Estates is asking residents to take part in an online survey about becoming a Lifelong Community.

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is assisting the city in the survey. The deadline is Feb. 1 to finish. To take the survey go to this website.

Lifelong Communities (LLC) are cities and neighborhoods that provide an array of housing types that appeal to individuals both young and old,Β  opportunities for healthy living including parks and outdoor spaces, ways to get around including meeting the needs of individuals who do not drive, safe sidewalks and convenient access to shopping, recreational opportunities and basic services.Β  Lifelong Communities are places where individuals can live throughout their lifetimes; they provide a full range of options to residents, insuring a high quality of life for all.

Paper copies are available at city hall. To obtain one, go to City Hall or contact Keri Stevens at 404-294-5400. You may drop off or mail your hardcopy survey to Avondale Estates City Hall, or fax it to 404-299-8137.

The city encourages every adult member of a household to take the survey. The city says demographic information will only be reported in aggregate form.
