4 Ballot Questions for Democrats

The party wants to know what voters think about charter schools, gifts to lobbyists and other issues.

Voters casting ballots in the July 31 Democratic primary will find four questions to answer.

These ballot questions have no binding effect, but let Democratic Party leaders know how the rank and file feel about certain issues.

These are the four questions, with yes-no answers available.

1. Should the Georgia Constitution be amended to allow the state to override locally elected school boards' decisions when it comes to the creation of charter schools in your county or city?

2. Do you support ending current practices permitting unlimited gifts from lobbyists to state legislators?
