Two Homes Burglarized in Decatur

Decatur police are investigating break-ins on Patillo Way and Coventry Road.

Decatur police provided investigation reports on these two burglaries.

The resident of a house in the 100 block of Patillo Way said she left about 8 a.m. Jan. 16 and returned around 9:20 p.m. to find the back door forced open.

Listed as missing were a 32-inch flat screen TV worth $400, a laptop worth $600, a Nintendo Wii video game system worth $200.00 a Star Wars video game worth $20 and buttons worth $10.

In the other burglary, residents of the 300 block of Coventry Road came home about 6 p.m. Jan. 18 and discovered the front door unlocked and items tossed around the living room. The residents had been gone since 7:50 a.m.

Missing were two DVD players, a cable box, and Apple iPad, jewelry, a silver bowl and a jar with loose change.Β

It appears entry was made by breaking a kitchen window.
