S. McDonough Blocked After Tree Strikes House

The Decatur Fire Department says nobody was hurt but advises drivers to avoid the 700 block of South McDonough because the street is blocked.

Nobody was injured when part of a tree toppled onto a house in the 700 block of South McDonough Street early Wednesday morning, Decatur Fire Chief Toni Dixon Washington said.

The tree split about 5:40 a.m. while two people were inside the house, she said. The limbs crushed the roof in the front part of the house.

Power was knocked out temporarily in the neighborhood, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
