Tires Slashed in Decatur Heights

A resident said tires on at least five vehicles were damaged.

Decatur police are investigating tire slashings in the Decatur Heights neighborhood.

A resident walking in the neighborhood noticed the flat tires and contacted police Sunday morning. Police said they found "several vehicles within the 200 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Hickory Street and Fairview Street" with damaged tires.

Some tires were flat did not appear to be slashed.

A message from a Decatur Heights resident said at least five cars had slashed tires.

No arrests have been reported.
