Thieves Hit 6 Unlocked Cars in Avondale
On the night of Oct. 18, somebody entered six unlocked vehicles on the south side of Avondale Estates.
Avondale Estates police said somebody entered six unlocked vehicles the night of Oct. 18 in the south section the city.
The incidents cannot be called break-ins per se, police said, because none of the vehicles were locked. All the vehicles were parked at residences and all the enterings were reported the morning of Oct. 19. The incidents.
- 3100 block of Majestic Circle. A fleece jacket worth $30 taken from a 2000 Lincoln Towncar.
- 3100 block of Majestic Circle. $327 in items taken from a 2004 Toyota Highlander
- 1100 block of Dunwick Drive. Briefcase and cellphone worth a total of $350 taken from a 2002 Kia Optima.
- 1100 block of Hess Drive. An iPod worth $80 taken from a 2010 Toyota Matrix.
- 1200 block of Berkeley Road. Nothing taken from a 1998 Volkswagon Passat.
- Coins, iPod and truck key taken from a 2005 Toyota Prius.
