Prepare to 'Fall Back' On Sunday

The end of Daylight Saving Time is also a good time to check smoke detector batteries. If you don't have a smoke detector, the City of Decatur will provide one free to city residents.

Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, meaning you need to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

Then, enjoy an extra hour of sleep.

The change marks the return to good old Standard Time. We sprang forward into Daylight Saving Time the second Sunday in March when we set our clocks forward one hour.
