Police: Man Shot to Death Near Popular Restaurant
A man was fatally shot early Thursday morning in a parking lot near the Real Chow Baby restaurant in Virginia Highland. Police say the business was not involved.
Two men were robbed and one then fatally shot outside the Real Chow Baby restaurant in Virginia Highland.
Police were called to the area of Barnett Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue just after 2 a.m. Thursday. Officers found a man dead inside a car outside the restaurant; he had been shot in the chest.
A witness told WSB TV the shooting suspect had robbed the victim and another man before the shooting, and then fled.
Atlanta Police Capt. Paul Guerrucci told WXIA TV the unidentified victim in his mid-20s was shot at least once in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the man collapsed inside a gray Chevrolet Impala after being shot.
Investigators have not yet determined a motive or made any arrests in this case.
No description of the suspect has been released.
